Day 2’s topics were Attachment Theory, Separation and Loss, Common Disorders of Youth in Foster Care, and Discipline. We actually didn’t cover Attachment Theory in the manner laid out in Wikipedia, but the topic was still a useful one, especially for those people fostering or adopting older children. Like Day 1, we read (rather, we were read to) and watched movies. The vibe is still a downer over all, and at this point I’ll just be happy to see the training come to an end.

On a positive note, I did notice that the trainer corrected herself once. She said “mother and father” and then corrected it to “parents”.
